A través de presentaciones como limpiar una mesa, marcos de vestir, servir agua, lavar la ropa, las niñas y niños encuentran significado en cuidar de ellas y ellos mismos así como del ambiente, ganan fuerza en sus músculos y su voluntad, desarrollan su independencia tanto física como emocional y además de todo lo anterior esto contribuye a la creación de una comunidad en armonía.
Nos encanta la citación de la Dra. Montessori que dice: “Cómo consigue esa independencia? A través de la repetición de su actividad. Cómo consigue sentirse libre? A través de la constancia del esfuerzo, el primer instinto del niño es hacer las cosas por él mismo sin ayuda de nadie”. Children’s House…where it all starts.
Through the presentations of scrubing a table, bottoning frames, pouring water from jars and washing clothes, children encounter the meaning of taking care of themselves and their classroom. They strenghten their muscles and develop physical and emotional indenpendence and on top of this they contribute to create an harmonious community.
We love the quote of Dr. Montessori that says: “How does he/she achieve independence? By means of continuous activity. How does he/she become free? By means of constant effort…the child´s first instinct is to carry out his/her actions by himself/herself without anyone helping him/her”.
